This piece mimics the female reproductive process, in which we are performing the act of egg making in a mechanized, industrial fashion within a factory setting.  This contradiction is drawn between the female body as being an intimate maker and also as a manufactured mass-producer.  This fragile process now translates into the makings of harsh, immortal objects with the use of concrete, a traditionally masculine material.  The performative element of this piece necessitates a personal interaction with the formation of each egg, followed by the placement of the products, which adds to the continuously growing and encroaching environment in which we work.
